their 800,000 cubic foot store in Lombard, Illinois. The
company also designs and installs commercial kitchens for
corporate headquarters and restaurants in the Chicago area.
The Company was founded in 1932 by August and Emma Schweppe
to provide taverns with snack foods. It was originally
called DuPage Supply and operated from Schweppe's basement.
Over 100,000 Products
Seventy years later, Schweppe, Inc. carries over 100,000
products, serving more than 35,000 customers in businesses
that include restaurants, schools, churches, hospitals,
offices, caterers and bowling alleys. Any type of
business that has a kitchen or uses paper goods needs
Schweppe's products.
Retail Store
In
1939 the company opened a retail store to service customers
who preferred to stop by or pick up their kitchen products,
rather than order them for delivery. Today, the store is
known for it's friendly service and wide selection of
products. The store is open 7 days a week.
Kitchen Design and Installation
Schweppe began providing design and installation services
for commercial kitchens in corporate headquarters and
restaurants in 1953. Many of Chicago's best known
restaurants have depended on Schweppe to design their
kitchens.
