Many are
C.F.S.P
Certified (the NAFEM sanctioned Certified Foodservice
Professional Program), which requires candidates to
successfully complete a written examination, provide
documentation regarding experience in the industry,
participate in continuing education programs, and
demonstrate leadership in industry activities.
Associates are also encouraged to participate in the
ServeSafe® Serving Safe Food Certification Course.
This
prepares our staff with the skills to identify and safely
handle potentially dangerous foods, use the HACCP food
safety system, design safe facilities and select appropriate
equipment, and utilize guidelines to help the Schweppe
customer comply with all regulatory agency requirements.

Further, all are trained in the use of electronic databases
for selecting product specifications and supplier
information and to aid in instant quoting and availability
data. Order processing, staging, and the ability to provide
current information on the ordering of non-stock supplies
and equipment is also included in staff training. Of course,
product knowledge is often key in the recommendation of
appropriate equipment. This too, is a continuous training
process.
